Temporary Traffic Management Design Course
This training course is designed to improve overall safety at roadworks, satisfy in full the legislative requirements and to provide a consistent approach to traffic management throughout all Local Authorities. The course is based on the current requirements as outlined in the following
  • Relevant legislation (SHWW Act 2005, Construction Regulations 2006, Roads Act and Road Traffic Act and associated regulations.
  • Chapter 8, Traffic Signs Manual.
  • Guidance for the Control and Management of Traffic at Road Works, 2007.

Who Should Attend

This course is aimed at candidates who are directly involved in the design of temporary traffic management. Candidates from both the Public and Private sectors should have a technical qualification and should hold one of the following positions; experienced technicians (all grades), assistant engineer, site engineer or senior engineer.

Course Aim

The aim of the course is to deliver safer traffic management design in accordance with best international practice and relevant legislation.
