All persons who will be required by their employers to undertake the role of MLC Supervisor for the MLC procedure on dual carriageways and/or motorways.
Aims/Objectives
At the end of the course candidates will:
- Understand the principles of sector schemes, general health and safety at work, risk assessments and method statements associated with the mobile traffic management industry
- Reference documentation relevant to the mobile lane closure technique
- Understand training and assessment requirements for MLC personnel
- Understand vehicle and equipment specification
- Understand their communication role and responsibilities
- Understand MLC principles and practical techniques
- Be aware of the types of work that require full mobile lane closure techniques and their limitations
