As from the 6th July 2009 all operatives involved in locating underground services must have completed this course.
Who Should Attend
This course is aimed at candidates who are directly involved in working with and around existing buried services.

Course Aim
The aim of the course is to provide the candidates with the required knowledge and skills to carry out the location and avoidance of underground services when involved with excavation works.
Course Objectives
At the end of the course candidates will be able to:
- State the required legislation
- Identify the hazards
- Use cable location devices and carry out or supervise safe excavation works
- State precautions to be taken for the protection of site personnel and members of the public
- Complete risk assessments prior to commencement of the works
